If you’ve been scrolling TikTok and suddenly heard something like, ‘She's vibing with Domingo,’ you’re not alone. It all started when Singer Ariana Grande hosted the final episode of SNL this season. The show went viral with her ‘Bridesmaid Speech’ sketch.
In it, Ariana and her fellow bridesmaids sing their toast badly to the tune of Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso.’ In their badly sung song, which is part of the joke, the bridesmaids have a big reveal. It turns out that, during the bachelorette party, the bride had a little rendezvous with someone named Domingo. Then, to everyone’s surprise, Domingo joins in. He’s played by Marcelo Hernandez.
Millions are Vibing with Domingo
The sketch is dominating TikTok’s For You pages, scoring over 100 million views and becoming the most-watched video on SNL’s TikTok. This huge response helped SNL rack up their best ratings since 2021, both on TV and streaming.
Hernández, a newly promoted main cast member, totally nailed his role in the skit. Since then, he’s been loving his newfound ‘Domingo fame!’
‘This is crazy that this is what my life has become’
While recently performing comedy at the University of Minnesota, the crowd begged the comic to perform the Domingo sketch, which is now a popular meme across all of social media.
“This is crazy that this is what my life has become,” Hernandez told the crowd. The Cuban-American comedian then launched into an acapella reenactment and invited the crowd to sing the lines ‘direct from Domingo’ and ‘but we did hook up though.’ According to LateNighter, the performance “was met with rapturous applause — and shared dozens of times to TikTok.”

In fact, one of the posts from this performance of the Domingo sketch has over 7.9 million views and 1 million comments in just four days.
@Gabbs comments “Domingo will never escape this man 😂.”
And @A.J. H adds, “My husband’s name is Domingo, and he is just as confused by this phenomenon. It amuses the heck out of me. …”
Even the official @Denny’sDiner account page chimes in with “He really said “it has become a thing, MATT”
Some TikTokers like @sarcasticadry didn’t know who the SNL castmember is, saying: “Not just a doctor and a model, but also a COMEDIAN? Domingo really is all that.”
The New York Mets Love Domingo
And weeks earlier, the New York Mets gifted Hernandez with an official team jersey with “Domingo” printed on the back. The Mets TikTok account posted the comedian singing, “Hey, Mets. Came all this way, had to say, direct from Domingo.”
